Abstract
In this study, we, according to transformation optics, derive the material parameters of cylindrical electromagnetic cloak in two dimensional space, and then we further simplify the parameters according to the inalterability of dispersion relation to make the experiment possible to implement. The analysis of the electromagnetic cloak in this study is based on coordinate transformation functions and the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves. Our primary goal is to reduce scattering, and to prevent the occurrence of singular values of material parameters. We discover the fact that the material parameters and the cloaking performance will be strongly influenced by the way of selecting coordinate transformation functions. According to the fact, we devise a new transformation equation, which has been verified based on several comparisons between the scattering characteristics and the degree of scattering. We then discuss the relations between the characteristic of simplified cloak in different transformation relations and the electromagnetic cloak''s performance on cloaking subjects.
