Abstract
Today, big corporations like Formosa Plastics, usually are the masters of global online marketplaces. Not only those big corporations, but also professional trading companies got the power. Their ability to use these platforms to get rich resources, and ability to communicate without language barriers is the key. However, industries like plastics are often composed by a large number of small and medium enterprises. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have earned the price they’ve deserved.
In this study, to solve the first problem, a huge sharing and cloud-based database will be useful to keep lots of information of suppliers and customers, so finally they have a chance to know each other in person. To solve the second problem, another huge database is needed again. Online and Face-to-Face meetings with interpreters are the best way to communicate better with foreign businessmen. SMEs are manufacturers, not engineers or interpreters, so when these kind of problems appear, then just hand it to right people..
Solutions are summarized as two points: two sharing databases for companies, as well as translators. The former provides convenient and easy way to access data, the latter providing high quality translation and communication. The combination of these two features makes the new business model even better; users can also create their customized business communities, being more internationalized.
