Abstract
We welcome you to the Second Asian Conference on Pattern Recognition (ACPR 2013), sponsored by the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR).This year, ACPR is being held in Naha, Okinawa, Japan on 5-8 November 2013.The conference aims to provide a major international forum for researchers in pattern recognition and related fields to share their new ideas and achievements.We wish to thank the authors for submitting papers to ACPR2013.We received 292 submissions from 32 countries.A large number of authors were from China and Japan, followed by Taiwan, Republic of Korea, and India.The
