Abstract
Palladium complexes [(P-N-O)PdR]BP4 containing imine-phosphine-ether tridentate donor were prepared. The behavior of an ether donor, a hemi-labile one, influences the coordination mode of a carbon ligand around the metal center. Reaction of excess styrene with [(P-N-O)PdMe]BF 4 results in the formation of [(P-N-O)Pd(η3-CH(CH 3)C6H5)]BF4, which is characterized by spectral and crystal structural determination. Copolymerization of olefin and carbon monoxide catalyzed by [(P-N-O)PdMe]BF4 is addressed.
