Abstract
The second-year project for this
research is entitled “The Gender-Racial
Discourse of Feminist Cyberpunk: Strategies
& Dilemmas.” The project investigates
three feminist cyberpunk texts with a view
to uncovering its strategies and dilemmas.
The first part explores the cyborgean
sensibility embedded in feminist cyberpunk
which articulates gender / racial
transgression. The second part is a
discussion of the dilemmas that feminist
cyberpunk encounters in its gender/racial
discourse. Overtly transgressive, feminist
cyberpunk in fact still harbors patriarchal
ideology and racial stereotyping.
