Abstract
A Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD) is developed for describing the reflection and diffraction of an electromagnetic (EM) complex source beam (CSB) when it illuminates a curved wedge geometry. This EM complex source beam is obliquely incident on a perfectly conducting curved wedge surrounded by a homogeneous isotropic medium. The curved wedge is formed by an edge in an otherwise smooth curved surface. The directions of incidence and observation are assumed to be sufficiently far from grazing angles measured with respect to the planes tangent to the curved wedge faces. The solution developed will henceforth be referred to as the UTD-CSB for a wedge. It is well known that a CSB is produced mathematically by a point source positioned in complex space, and the CSB field is found by analytic continuation of the field of a point source in real space.
