Abstract
The purpose of this project is in collaborating with information research group of the National Science and Technology Program for Hazards Mitigation (NAPHM) to develop an Advanced Disaster Management Decision Support System (ADAMDS). Focus topic of this project is on the flood disaster management using Internet. The time span of this research is three years, with first year focus on conceptual model and system architecture design, while the second and third years are emphasized on system implementation. This report represents the research results of this project. An Internet GIS system was implemented using Autodesk¡¦s Mapguide Web 015 tool. Using Internet browser, user can display flood hazard maps and input flood information through Internet. Flood information gathered from Internet will be used to interpolate real time flood situation using ArcView spatial interpolation function. System developed in this research project will be integrated into Advanced Disaster Management Decision Support System developed by NAPHM research team.
