Abstract
This thesis develops a mobile transceiver for the NTU Wireless Health Advanced Monitoring Bio-Diagnosis System (WHAM-BioS). The system embeds one or more body-sensors into patient bodies and uses the mobile transceiver as a relay station to gather the bio-medical information and to relay the information up to the internet. The previous researches have developed the necessary fundamental technologies. This thesis realizes the technology into a small 7cm x 5.5cm device. The device is Win-CE based and runs on battery power for mobility. It is not only capable of relaying the data but can also perform preliminary biomedical signal analysis. This thesis demonstrated the embedded function on the device for preliminary ECG analysis. We use frequency spectrum templates as the basis for comparison and perform autoregressive model identification on the signals. Analysis results show that our device achieves conservative judgments which are necessary for safety operation.
