Abstract
This research studies the gradational
change of bodily perception among Daoist
qigong practitioner. It first identifies a nonconstructionist
body in the changing bodily
perception. Second, the research shows the
gradational change affects a practitioner’s
social standing in the order of a qigong group.
Third, it examines the Chinese concept of
person in terms of the gradational structure.
Fourth, it shows how the Chinese civilization
employs the gradational structure in the
arrangement of strangers.
