Abstract
Vetiver grass is an useful crop can produce essential oil, conversant water and soil or produce biomass energy. In which varieties of south India type are more suitable for cultivating for many uses. Although vetiver grass can survive in different extreme environmental, there are little research focus on its optimum rang for cultivated managements. In this study treat different varieties of south India type vetiver to three levels of fertilizer and different type of herbicides, investigating its responses. Finding the wet weight of vetiver’s shoot and plant’s height will increase under fertilized. But vetiver may poisoned when treat fertilizer of P2O5 more than 500kg per year per hector. To establish the field of South India type of vetiver, we usually use its tiller to vegetative propagate. And has little damage by pre-emerge herbicides which can be used to weed control. The growth regulator type’s herbicides, 2,4-D and quinclorac can post-emerge control broad-leaved and some grasses selected with small damage to vetiver. If we aim to raze vetiver hedge, which glyphosate and Imazapyr belong non selected, systemic, post-emerge herbicides have the most effectively.
