Abstract
Because of the improvement of Internet technology, the status of equipment can be monitored remotely. The remote diagnosis system has got wide attention in recent years. The fundamental purpose of e-Diagnostics is to increase the availability of production and facilities equipment, reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), and significantly reduce field service resources and costs.
The proposed prototype system adopts the novel data mining technology-support vector machine to enhance the diagnosis function. The implementation and experiences of the Remote Diagnostics System shows satisfactory results.
In this thesis, a Remote Diagnostics platform with a characteristic that data mining method is independent from this platform is constructed to analysis machines data more detail. That is, we try to let this platform can contain various kinds of algorithms to work together. Data mining web services are built over Internet to provider data mining service with XML format exchange. For modeling the system between client and server, the systematic UML analysis and design are applied to develop and decompose the entire Remote Diagnostics system
