Abstract
According to these investigations of multiple
particle falling in still fluid, empirical formulas
between w0(single particle fall velocity) and
w(multiple particles fall velocity) are proposed .
Using self-developed “Dynamic Image Digitalization
System”, we got new regressed curve for estimating
terminal velocity of multiple particles. An numerical
results of instantaneous velocity and fall velocity of a
freely falling particle based on Basset –Boussinesq-
Oseen equation by using Runge-Kutta Method and
Gaussian quadrature formula were also obtained. The
fall velocity computed from above can estimate the
value of w0.And wake behind single paritcle freely
falling in still water were investigated.
