Abstract
Reliability Theory, which is developed from the probability theory, is one of the important system analysis theories. It is generally applied to construction management, electrical and mechanical design, civil engineering management, traffic and transportation. Helping people probe into the uncertainty and make decisions is the most important character of Reliability Theory.Since M.R.T. is a complex system. In addition to relate specifications, laws and regulations, the reliability concept is particularly useful to enhance the safety and the optimum state in different stages of life cycle. This research collects reliability work data of Taipei M.R.T. to discuss how reliability theory is applied to M.R.T. system. Furthermore, it analyzes the train operation reliability in 2003 and compares the operation data with standard values, then UNIPASS is used to calculate and analyze the probability. Finally, conclusions and suggestions will be provide.
This study provides M.R.T. reliability estimating structure, and analyzes and calculates the operation reliability of Taipei M.R.T. and 11 subsystems. Also the communication and signal subsystem is found weaker in the reliability. The Analysis results can make some suggestions in reference to relater purchase projects.
