Abstract
Low-dose aspirin with hydroxyurea (HU) is first-line therapy in high-risk essential thrombocythemia (ET). However, many patients become HU-intolerant or -resistant. Anagrelide (ANA) and peginterferon alfa-2a are second-line options for high-risk ET patients.
