Abstract
To develop the next generation thin film solar cells, we have investigated metallic and dielectric nanoparticles to improve the optical absorption effciency. Different parameters were studied for nanoparticles of periodic and hexagonal closed-packed distributions upon single crystalline silicon solar cells. We simulated the main routes in nanosphere lithography by analyzing the electromagnetic field intensities, optical absorption effciency and J-V curve. Nanosphere lithography was considered as the fabrication method to improve our design. Our designs in general, suitable for differentinds of solar cells.
