Abstract
The automobile electronics is an systematic products related to such technology as electron, photo electricity, communication,etc.In automobile electronics industry, the sales of automobile have declined gradually in annual growth and under the strong globalization competition pressure, the automobile manufacturer, in order to improve the competitiveness, not only operate as manufacturers , but also do as a service provider though Telematics service.Therefore,Telematics is the most attractive in the electronics industry.
Specifically, the present study tries to answer the following three questions:
1. How does Telematics industry change the traditional value
chain? And what is the characteristic of Telemaitcs
industry?
2. How to work as a successful Telematics service provider ?
3. What kind of advantages in Taiwan as Telematics providers
and manufacturers? How to develop the strategy?
This research concludes that the security and saving from damage is the major business in Telematics service provider, Meanwhile, the development of Telematics service has geographical district. North America, Europe and Asian market have a unique demand separately. As manufacturers in Taiwan should focus on the low price market with technological advantage of GPS and LCD in a short time.During long time, they should cooperate with TSP to make the service offered elasticity.And TOBE should lower costs through Chinese market to reach the economic scale
