Abstract
The article introduces the research institutes in Mainland China, which have been constructing
citation index database. It describes as well the principles of journal selection, the procedure and
model of data construction, the model of data modification, the database system, the problems
and difficulties, and the model of management. We hope this article could be a good reference for
the construction of citation index database in Taiwan.
