Abstract
The purpose of this project was to
discuss the effects of additives and
operational factors on industrial wastewater
sludge and water works sludge by melting
system. The studies were divided into two
parts: (1) Two additives including Na2CO3
and K2CO3 into tested ash, to evaluate the
influence on the pouring temperatures. (2)
Changing melting operating time and
temperature to obtain a reasonable
combination of melting operating time with
temperature through the basic physical
characteristics evaluation of water-cooled
slag. Test results showed that the pouring
temperature could be further reduced when a
certain amount of few Na2CO3 and K2CO3
was added into tested ash. Besides, rising
melting operating temperature is good for
physical characteristics of slag.
