Abstract
The original and the treated activated sludge samples and the ECPs extracted from the original sludge were analyzed via FTIR spectra. A characteristic band near 670 cm-1 was found to have a strong correlation with the sludge dewaterability and settleability, and was proposed as an indicator for sludge performance.
