Abstract
The notion of the Hasse-Schmidt higher derivations is generalized to q-skew derivations. It is found that an Ore extension by a q-skew derivation possesses a naturally definedq-skew higher derivation. It is then applied to characterize the semi-invariant polynomials and cv-polynomials of the Ore extension. © 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
