Abstract
The main purpose of this research is to investigate the power-driven control technology of high power LED in order to improve the reliability and stability under different lamp、LED damage and various environmental conditions. System dynamics model for a LED luminare is first identified experimentally. A feedback control system for constant-power driving using PI controller was designed and analyzed. An optimal controller was determined using the closed-loop sensitivity function.
For verification purpose, a 150W LED luminare was designed and built. The control system was implemented on a PIC microprocessor. Experimental results show that the control system can stably and accurately control the power at a constant value at 150W±2W at the variation of ambient temperature from -30℃ to 40℃.And the LED lighting variation only 1.7% at the variation of ambient temperature from 10℃ to 40℃.
Another research is to investigate LED protection.Although constant-power control provide LED the better lighting ,make the risk enhanced under driving LED.So carry on the detecting of power in control system for damage to LED .Take advantage of the great change immediately of the power to regulate the operating power and then reach the protection of LED.
