Abstract
The results of an X-ray diffraction study of 1′,6′-bis(p-bromobenzyl)biferrocenium pentaiodide and those of Mössbauer spectroscopy indicate that the degree of delocalization of negative charge in the triiodide unit controls the intramolecular electron transfer in mixed-valence biferrocenes. © 1989.
