Abstract
We study quasielastic rescattering effects in B̄u,d,s→DP,D̄P decays, where P is a light pseudoscalar. The updated measurements of B̄u,d→DP decays are used to extract the effective Wilson coefficients a1eff 0.90 and a2eff 0.23, three strong phases δ 56°, θ 18°, and σ -104°, and the mixing angle τ 7°. This information is used to predict rates of 19 B̄s→DP and B̄u,d,s→D̄P decay modes, including modes of interests in the γ/3 program. Many decay rates are found to be enhanced. In particular, the B̄s→D0K0 rate is predicted to be 7×10-4, which could be measured soon. The rescattering effects on the corresponding B̄u,d,s→D̄P,DP amplitude ratios rB and rBs, and the relative strong phases δB and δBs are studied. Although the decay rates are enhanced in most cases, rB,Bs values are similar to factorization expectation. © 2008 The American Physical Society.
