Abstract
穎川荀氏，累世傳經，漢魏之際名族。荀彧幼有王佐之譽，漢末天下大亂，荀彧舉宗族，走河北依袁紹。後又間關歸曹操，竭力?其策劃，終成霸業。至曹操欲進爵國公，九錫備物，荀彧期期以?不可。曹操由是心中不平，荀彧遂飲藥而卒。《後漢書》、《三國志》并?荀彧立傳。於是，魏晉間乃有荀彧?漢臣或魏臣之議。
