Abstract
This paper presents the investigations of indoor radio coverage by ray-tracing techniques. Multi-beam radiation patterns are employed in the numerical simulations. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) are employed as the parameter to justify the effectiveness of radio coverage. It is seen that the directional beams may provide higher gains, but may not provide a good coverage. A hybrid implementation of omnidirectional and directional radiations may provide a better coverage in terms of communication quality for UE system. ? 2021 Taiwan Microwave Association.
