Abstract
Coastal land use is an area of high
pressure according to the recreation activities
and developing tourist industry in northern
Taiwan. This research focuses on the impact
of land use and the evaluation the present
situation of coastal zone of north eastern
coast of Taiwan.
Ho-mei and Ta-li are two typical cases
as these two had totally changed the land use
of north eastern coast of Taiwan. It is also
found that the policy of government is an
important factor in coastal management.
