Abstract
Blood coagulation status is critical in clinical evaluations, as abnormal clotting can lead to severe complications. This study presents a microfluidic biosensor which integrates a micromixer and a triboelectric sensing system to rapidly measure blood coagulation time. Mixing is achieved through secondary flow by curved channel with expansion and contraction microchannel design. While voltage signals are generated via liquid-solid triboelectric effect at the copper electrodes. The device detects blood viscosity changes during clot formation by analyzing real-time voltage variations and offers an alternative method to replace traditional APTT and PT tests. With low sample consumption, low cost, and portability, the present biosensor enables efficient, real-time monitoring of coagulation and offers potential point-of-care applications in clinical settings.
