Abstract
We fabricated a lensed photonic crystal fiber to couple light from a laser diode and the coupling efficiency was improved significantly in comparison with butt coupling. We also simulated the optical coupling of a lensed PCF by using beam propagation method, and compared with the measured results. © 2006 IEEE.
