Abstract
In my opinion, each part of landscape is cultural landscape. There is public meaning that can’t be erased everywhere in the urban landscape. With human’s intervention, recognition of landscape such as so-called “nature ecology park” or “City” has been attributing to accumulation of the cultural depth of landscape. Subjective experiences and spatial memories are interwoven to become vivid texts, which result in a variety of contexts of the places. Meanwhile, texture of a place, a space, or a landscape is made clear and distinct by those different contexts.
In this thesis, my research is a primary study on the formation progress of different cultural landscape types. I intend to figure out how the ongoing development of landscape is formatted layered cultural, social, and political forces, especially the part about the process, the causes, and the related subjects’ living and body experiences. In brief, this is an approach to discuss the formatting process at certain stage of a cultural landscape, which is always on the march.
