Abstract
超穎材料(Metamaterials)的研究近年來提供了許多非傳統的光學現象,藉由設計特殊的晶格結構,搭配上適合的電磁波入射,我們甚至在非對掌性超穎材料中,得到對掌性結構才擁有的光學性質。本文將以對掌性超穎材料進行介紹,我們分別由電磁理論與電動力學的角度說明對掌性結構的特殊光學現象形成原因,最後並提供實驗的量測數據,驗證超穎材料的光學性質。
Recently, metamaterials have shown many interesting optical phenomena such as negative refraction, super-resolution and cloaking. By engineering the structure of unit cell on metamaterials, we can manipulate the electromagnetic wave to behave in the ways we desire. In this report, we demonstrate the chiral optical properties by designing a non-chiral structure. The associated electromagnetic wave theory and practical optical measurements are presented.
