Herein, we’ve synthesized new molecular hosts 1 in order to develop new molecular systems differing from our previous molecular hosts. The cyclotriveratrylene-based molecular container is more complex and more challenge than ones before. First, we tended to use molecular hosts 1 to achieve encapsulation of proper guests by chemical reactions to lock in it. Up to now, we’ve not found any proper guests fitting in the molecular host 1 because the binding ability is weaker in the solution phase than in the solid phase.
