Abstract
The problem of multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) radar adaptive beamforming was solved under multiple scenario mismatches in this study. To deal with the performance degradation due to scenario mismatches, we used a MIMO radar adaptive beamformer with coprime array (CPA) instead of the uniform linear array (ULA) deployed at its transmitter and receiver in conjunction with a robust beamforming technique. By simply using the correlation matrix associated with the data vector received by the receive antenna array, an optimization problem to solve was formulated to estimate the signal direction vector required for beamforming. Simulation results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
