Abstract
IgD monoclonal peaks are relatively small, with broad bases, and are preferentially of gamma-1 or beta mobility. Often IgDλ paraproteins can only be detected after proper dilution or reduction of the patient's serum. Assay for Bence Jones protein should not be neglected, and if it is present, the co-existence of IgD monoclonal gammopathy should be suspected. © 1976.
