Abstract
As the rapid development of
multimedia communication systems, the
emerging multimedia applications require
more functionality, better compression
efficiency, and more application generality.
Accordingly, the complexity of multimedia
coding system increases continuously due to
the complexity of core algorithm, the
constraint of real-time processing, and the
requirement of multi-standard. Gradually,
existent multimedia processors can not
support the emerging multimedia coding
systems those are increasingly complex.
This project is proposed to exploit
reconfigurable multimedia processing
engines and the novelty of reconfigurable
processing systems such as to keep up with
the requirement of emerging multimedia
coding systems.
