Abstract
Dihydropteroate synthase (DHPS) mutations may be associated with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole resistance in Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PCP) and worse clinical outcomes. However, the clinical significance of DHPS mutations in PCP among non-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients remains unclear.
