Abstract
Followed with the changes of global economic environment, Taiwanese Agricultural Market too, has carried a fundamental qualitative change. Most of the agriculture cities lost their cultivation land around because the new urbanize development plans has been carried out. And the urban farmers'' associations, which relate most closely with agricultural business, were divided into two types-the urban and the rural Farmers'' Associations, whether its site directly bore product value. The urban type can not find real farmers to serve because of the lost of the cultivation land and the lost of members. loss, Therefore, its role, function and value of existence were queried.
This study was subject to the economic development changes of our country, which shift from the agricultural into the industrial and commercial service as the main direction. The definition and function of the role of urban Farmers'' Association. And the challenges and difficulties in the process, and how to solve them to ensure its value of existence.
The scope and the objects of the study regard to the basic Farmers'' Associations in new Taipei city and adopted the in-depth interview of quality research. And the interviews carry on to three parties: industrial field, the authorities and experts and scholars. It organizes and analyzes the whole information and proposes policy recommendations to the executive office to make running strategies and as references for drafting policies and reforming laws.
