Abstract
The purpose of this research is to
systematically study the marketing and
webpage design issues of an information
service organization, Amazon.com, and to
explore the implications of the findings for
digital library interface design and marketing
strategies. This research adopts a case study approach, and employs multiple methods,
including literature analysis, document/record
analysis, webpage analysis and usage analysis.
The potential contributions include﹕1.
Deeper knowledge for developing the model
of marketing on the WWW. 2. Identification
of important contents and organization format
for information providers. 3. Useful
suggestions on interface design for building
an effective digital library.
