Abstract
To the Editor: We read with interest the article by Hasan et al1 on an association between dupilumab therapy and increased risk of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). The authors used the TrinetX database to evaluate the incidence of CTCL after dupilumab use and found that AD patients who were prescribed dupilumab had a higher risk of developing CTCL. In addition, the increased risk remained significant after excluding patients with prior immunosuppressant use. Since there have been several reports describing a potential linkage between dupilumab and CTCL, the information provided by Hasan et al’s1 article is important and requires careful consideration.
