Abstract
In Taiwan the birth rate declines year by year. Such situation puts great influence on students of Musical Departments. Most of Musical Department graduated students make a living by teaching, as a school teacher or a tutor. Some Musical Department students feel bewildered about their future because of the decline of birth rate.
According to the research, musical training courses are provided more than needed in Taiwan, which results in the over-supplication of musical professionals. Thus, it is barely possible that there is enough opportunity of teaching career for every Musical Department graduates – they have to cultivate second professions, combine their original musical profession with other fields, or switch to another way, that is, to exit from the musical field and enter new ones. However, “Chuang-hua County
Orchestra Development Coalition”, which has been running for over seven years in Chang-hua County, improve the popularization of music education successfully, giving children a chance to learn music. It also offering jobs to music teacher. Probably, the issue about the over-supplication of musical professionals would be resolved.
