Abstract
In this paper, a simple approach for the miniature slot antenna is proposed. We investigate a half-wavelength slot antenna with two inductively coupled C-shaped metallic rings and find that the resultant resonance is shifted to the lower frequency band. That is, the required length of a slot antenna may be effectively reduced at a predetermined operational frequency. Furthermore, the resonant frequency of the presented antenna can be easily adjusted by varying the number and dimensions of these Crings without tuning the original slot dimensions for impedance matching.
