Abstract
Protonation at one of the phenylacetylide substituents of the allylic complexes [W(cp)(CO)2{η3H2CC[C(CCPh)2]CH2R}](cp =η-C5H5), including the first cationic tungsten–ruthenium allylic vinylidene complex, R = C(Ph)CRu(cp)(PPh3)2(crystal structure), gave η4-vinylallene complexes.
