Abstract
This study is focusing on searching a new method to prepare Cu-Ce mixed oxide catalysts and Cu-Ce mixed oxide catalysts doped with base metal such as magnesium, gadolinium and calcium in the cause of finding an ideal PROX catalyst. Direct decomposition, citric acid process and physical mixing methods were introduced in which physical mixing show good results in both doped and undoped catalyst. The catalysts were characterized by XAS, XRD, BET, TPR and were tested by feeding a stream of H2/CO/O2/He in the ratio of 50/0.8/0.8/48.4. Different feed composition has also been tested with altering O2/CO ratio and adding water and CO2 to the feed. A time-on-stream test has also been tested to see its stability.
