Abstract
This paper presents the synthesis of new, optically nonlinear binary organic material and its single crystal growth
based on the prior investigation of phase diagram and physical properties. The transparent single crystal of binary
organic material has been grown from ethanol solution. The differential scanning calorimeter and microhardness
measurements show better thermal and mechanical properties for the newly grown crystal compared to the parent
components. The optical characterization of the crystals shows the cutoff wavelength near the UV region, and the SHG
measurement by Kurtz powder technique shows a reasonable peak intensity with the binary polycrystalline material.
