Abstract
Kotaro Takamura is a very popular poet. But some of his poems are really hard to understand. As a matter of fact, the problem has made no headway so far. Being aimed at Kotaro’s thinking and ideas when his collection of poems "DOUTEI" was published, this paper is going to approach the subjects of "SHIZEN-ZUIJUN" (following Nature) and Buddhistic thinking. On the one hand, I try to analyze the questions such as the forming of the idea of "SHIZEN" (Nature), the implication of "HAIKETSU" in "ZENSHUMUMONKAN", and the exact meaning of "HIMITSU-NO-KACHI" and the verses in "HAITAISHA-YORI" and "YOROKOBI-O-TSUGU". And on the other hand, I try to give some different interpretations.
