Abstract
This paper presents a calibration procedure for the phased array antennas to radiate desired directional beam. The technique implements the genetic algorithm within the framework of antenna measurement system such that the real outputs of phase shifters can be used to optimize the pattern in the real time fashion without the need to measure the phase changes of every phase shifters. Examples will be presented to illustrate this idea.
