Abstract
A crystalline form of LiFePO4 has been synthesized by solid-state reaction using LiOH, FeC2O4·2H 2O and (NH4)2HPO4 under reducing (5% H2 and 95% Ar) atmosphere. The sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Mössbauer and X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopic (XANES) methods. The crystal parameters were derived from Rietveld's refinement of the XRD. data. The oxidation state of Fe was investigated by Mössbauer and Fe K-edge XANES spectral techniques. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
