Abstract
Photodissociation of C2H was studied using experimental data generated through step-scan Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) emission spectra of C2H and C2 during photolysis of acetylene. Normal modes and vibrational frequencies were calculated and used to compute Franck-Condon factors for a variety of vibronic transitions. The total absorption intensities were then obtained by multiplying the Franck-Condon factors by the corresponding oscillator strengths.
