Abstract
Currently, the landing fee charged by
Civil Aeronautic Aviation Bureau is based on
the maximum takeoff weights (MTOW) of
each aircraft. It is based on the concept that
the heavier the aircraft, the higher the relative
maintenance fee for pavement it shall be.
Therefore, the charge of landing fee is higher.
The landing fee structure does not consider
the gear configuration and the wheel load of
various types of aircrafts which are the major
factors rather than MTOW affects the
pavement damage.
The main object of this research is to
evaluate the damage of pavement caused by
different aircrafts through the analysis of
KENSLABS. However, the guidelines given
by the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO) is also adapted in this
study, in order to keep the developed landing
fee structure still matching the international
standard.
