Abstract
Heavy duty vehicles require more electrical power than the passenger vehicles, the battery alternator system can only supply electrical power to the heavy duty vehicle for basic operation, and unable to satisfy addition electrical power for more auxiliary loads of the heavy duty vehicle. The batteryless alternator is developed to supply the electrical power for the auxiliary loads, and the overload protection (OLP) function can help to ensure the safety of the batteryless alternator system.
