Abstract
In the near future, the web technologies associated with the “Semantic Web” or “Data Web” and “Web 2.0” or “The Social Web” promise, among many other things, to vastly reduce the time and cost necessary to find, collaborate with, and compensate part time workers. The purpose of this paper is to explore how virtual organizations within this environment can form organically, without centralized direction, and the implications of this for individuals and various types of organizations
